2014 - 50th Anniversary

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Heinrich Wieland Prize, the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation has permanently raised the prize money to 100,000 euros and hosted a scientific symposium and a special festive award ceremony in the stately Max Joseph Hall of the Munich Residenz, Germany, on October 21, 2014.

Five of the six speakers at the symposium were Heinrich Wieland Laureates, ranging from the 1990 recipient James Rothmann (Nobel Laureate 2013) to the 2014 Laureate Reinhard Jahn.
